where’s that place, again??

my new office building is located at jalan raja chulan..its quite obvious but mostly people can’t seem to find it..seriously lol.

i mean, jalan raja chulan is like in the heart of Kuala Lumpur but i think its the building that’s not bulging out. well, obviously it’s the 1st TM building back in the 60s era…or perhaps in the 50s..so yea, the building is quite old and no longer attractive to this new generation (per say me)..haha..let’s talk bout that later.

unlike the TM building at Bangsar, its one of a well-known landmark in Malaysia. u just mention Rebung and people will automatically know where Rebung is located at..

even the Domino’s delivery guy got lost when deliverying our pizza to the TM office at jalan raja chulan..omg..but good thing we got free pizza voucher..hehe

the rebung may be at the outskirt of KL but traffic wise, it’s not that jammed up to get there..so opposite of JRc..every hour, every minute..the main road that exit to jrc is fully pack with cars.but thank goodness for the train system availabe, the traffic can be avoidable.

sometimes, when i am at jrc, i feel like i’m at NYC..walking along the streets at downtown of KL and taking the train back home..but only 1 thing..no yellow cabs..haha..

and when i’m at Rebung, Bangsar…i feel like i’m at Buffalo..the places are nearby but u tend to drive to get to a destination cuz it’s not really walking distance and you’re just plain lazy..haha..

betcha wondering y am i comparing to all these US cities..haha..honestly,i totally miss going there, especially in the summer.

it’s cool to have a place where u can relate to somewhere else..

now..where can i find some corn fields so i can feel like i’m in Dekalb..haha..

the table is an amended old sewing table..kinda cool..sambil mkn..sambil ayun benang..lol

then we saw this too!

it looked exactly like our old TV back in 1990 – 1992..hehe..tiba2 rasa sebak..teringat zaman kanak2 and all the TV shows we have watched on that TV that had no remote control..

kena pulas the channels..hehe..tgk Power Rangers, Barney..mickey mouse..hehe..

and we still remember our old TV brand which is Zenith..

 

quickie voyage..

Last weekend, Perak was yet again our trip destination..but this time it was under my dad’s faculty in IIUM. And it happened that many of the kids are my lil bro’s frens..huhu..seronok la dia ada kawan utk bermain di sana..

We went to Bukit Merah Laketown resort..it was my 1st time to go there..back in the days, i always hear their commercial ad on the radio..remember that catchy song about Bukit Merah laketown resort??..hehe..yea..that’s d one..

utilizing the mirror inside the IIUM bus..

Arrived 6 hours later..the traffic was kinda hectic..yea..hello..school holidays yow.

IIUM is listed..hehe

then we went straight to the Orang Utan Island..time is gold

waiting for the ferry.

the ferry was pretty slow..dude

yay..dh sampai.

the Orang Utan are cute..mostly they come from Borneo..they are to be protected to prevent extinction of their kind.

then we went to ride the chairlift..Nana came along with us..she is Kimi’s best friend..haha.and up there we can see the waterpark..

then we went to Eco park and walk around the pathway.

Kimi and his fren were merungut-ing to go fishing..so kena lah bawa mereka..tsk..luckily dpt juga 1 ekor and setiap tangkapan kena bayar RM2..then kena letak balik dlm kolam tu..haha.

The next morning..there were alot of ducks under the dock..so we fed them some bread

then we went to ride the ATV.

later by 5pm..we head back to KL..

even though it was short trip..but it was pretty fun.

it’s not the end..

A small farewell gathering on May 26 at Amarin, Jln Syed Putra, KL for our dear friend, Ekin..She will continue her journey at JB, Johor..

Lynda, Zul, Nad, Paid and me came early to deco the reserved table..

Finally, it was complete..

each person was assigned to a chair by referring to their names on the plates..

while waiting for Ekin to come..we play with the balloons..hehe

then..the clock striked 8.25pm, Ekin came..boy..was she Surprised!  

then it turned to be an emotional moment..for a while..puffy red-eyes n run down nose.

after some time pouring our tears out..we took a pic of us 4 1st..hehe..

Then..it was time to order..masing2 tgh lapar..(Growling of the stomachs)

Mari baca surat khabar..hehe..kinda cool of the menu to be in newspaper form.

then our table started to filled with foods!..yum!

the best dish for me was this Tomyam in coconut milk..Thanx to Nad and Paid for ordering it..hehe..

Soon, we were later joined by Baz and Abe..so into our foods..tak sempat nk ambil gambar mereka..hehe..oopps.

after the foods has gone into our stomachs..we were to write a note to Ekin for her to keep in remembrance..Nad is very tekun writing her thingy..hehe

Each person was to give the little note with an origami bird to Ekin along with a speech..quite emotional for Lynda, Nad and Baz because they are close with Ekin..and being apart tend to be a lost for them..and again…some more puffy red eyes afloats..

just talked and soon it was time to go..

While growing up, mostly every summer of each year, my parents would take us there. me & my sisters loved the American Eagle roller coaster as it is the biggest and longest one there. Not to mention one of the oldest rides..hehe..We would spend 1 whole day at the theme park and ride all the rides. well, not ALL but each time we go there the following year, we would ride the ones that we couldn’t ride last year…(growing process at that moment..hehe)

Aside from that, if our cousins came over to visit, my dad would take us all to the theme park. The best one was Giant Drop..it is soo high of 227 ft (69 m) tall gravity-driven descending thrill ride…it’s sumthing like the one in Genting Highlands called Solero shot, i think..but not as high as Giant Drop..haha.

Another cool ride is the Logger’s Run..u will seriously get wet if u get on this ride..i mean REALLY wet..from head to toe..it was great to go during the summer and get cooled off by it..

oh yea..and the Space Shuttle America thingy..a replica of the real thing but was then removed. the Iron Wolf ride is somewhat different as the riders maneuver twisting turns and sudden drops while in a standing position. I got to ride this one when i was in 5th grade..as i was tall enuff..lol.

from time to time, a few rides would come and go..but it will be in memory of the ones ridden.

Again..my dad asked us to packed up for a quick vacation at the East Coast..at Cherating..

Along the way..it was pouring rain..mandi hujan la ni instead of the beach..tsk.

We arrived at Impiana Resort Cherating..and it was still drizzling.

b4 going to the beach..we went cycling.

 

  

The waves were pretty strong..Faheem and Aleena got Tsunami-ed!

 

 

Rain or no rain..we still sat at the beach..just cicah kaki kat laut.

3 weeks later.

on a friday nite, the 3 of us [ Mudd, Bibah and me] went to BV for dinner and later grabbed some froyo..

soon, we went back to Gombak. They were sleeping over [ after 3weeks planning it]..

3 weeks ago…*flashback*

we were talking bout things..and all of a sudden Mudd brought up the topic of slumber party aka sleepovers..we all agreed and didnt mind which house to sleep at..in the end..the chosen place: My house…huhu..

since during that time was Mudd’s birthday..me n Bibah planned to do a surprise party for her as well..so we divided tasks on who to get what…unconciously, Mudd wanted BR cotton candy ice-cream..so I got that for her..on 31th march..haha..cuz the initial date for the sleepover was postponed to another date (tak ingat)..

back to that Friday..we set off to my home while my sister was standing by with the cake (Bibah bought a brownie cake)…

 Happy Birthday Mudd!..hope u like the gifts!

later that nite, me n Bibah watched Black Swan..lol tul..

Aside..

After Malia’s wedding reception on Saturday, my uncle took my grandparents n me out for dinner. We went to this place called Chim Chum. It’s a steamboat type of restaurant.

 

It was okay..reminds me of Seoul Garden..hehe..i got the bubur ChaCha!..yum!..

-The next Day..Sunday Morning-

My flight with Zaki was at 9.00AM and my two aunts sent us off to the airport..we were a bit late..haha..arrived at the airport around 8.30AM..manage to check-in on time..LOL..phew!
