Every cars in all continents need to have a license plate for official identification purposes. It is mixed with numeric and alphebatical format.
As for Malaysia, it inherits the UK’s older format of registration number formats. Fundamentally beginning with one or more letters (the first letter(s) serving as a vehicle or location prefix) followed by up to four numerical digits with no leading zeros. The letters and numbers are fixed unless u pay more to choose ur own.
However, in the United States..license plates are issued by each state or provincial government. Also, the owner of the car can choose his own letters and numbers as preferred.
